Verbs ending in 'ence' can be used in three ways. '-enced' as past tense, e.g. 'U.S. is influenced the decisions of France'. '-Enced' can be used as a past participle, i.e. an adjective in past tense and passive voice. E.g. 'experienced copy-writer'; verbs of passive voice in future tense e.g. 'will be influenced by'.
